Baptism - Bautismo
Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission: "Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word." - CCC 1213
Parents must be registered parishioners of St. Dominic. Prior to Baptism, attendance at the monthly Baptism preparation meeting is required for both parents and godparents. It is recommended to attend the class while you’re still pregnant. Call the Parish office for more information at (630) 739-5703 x 220.
El santo Bautismo es el fundamento de toda la vida cristiana, el pórtico de la vida en el espíritu y la puerta que abre el acceso a los otros sacramentos. Por el Bautismo somos liberados del pecado y regenerados como hijos de Dios, llegamos a ser miembros de Cristo y somos incorporados a la Iglesia y hechos partícipes de su misión: "El bautismo es el sacramento del nuevo nacimiento por el agua y la palabra." - CIC 1213
Los padres necesitan ser feligreses registrados en la parroquia Sto. Domingo antes de que puedan bautizar, también necesitan asistir con los padrinos a la preparación para el bautismo.
